Still Jaspora

Still Jaspora is an organization created by Vanessa and myself to support and promote a social movement. SJ is borne of the idea that the Haitian Diaspora didn’t leave to forget about Haiti and move on with their lives, they left to gain access to the resources it will take to fix it. We, the progeny of those islanders, live the manifestation of their dreams: we’re educated, free, unrestricted by circumstance, and able to bring a country back from the brink of disaster. But are we willing? Are there enough of us who care to truly start a movement? Can we convince enough of us to care? I don’t know, but we’re going to find out soon enough. And if it turns out that no one gives a damn, I do. “Still Jaspora” will cease to be a motto for several, and become a motto for me.
